The Northern Lights tour departs in the late evening and may not return until after midnight.

Things to Consider

This tour is not recommended for people who have difficulty walking. Most flights arrive in Iceland between 4-7 AM, however hotel check-in begins at 2 PM. Only the pre-purchase of a hotel night will guarantee early check-in.

Weather Conditions

Iceland's climate is known for being extreme and unpredictable, with rapidly changing weather conditions. Be prepared for cold, wet, and windy weather.

Terrain

Expect 3-4 hours of walking every touring day, as well as considerable time standing. You may need to walk on uneven and challenging terrain, navigate steep steps or slopes, and encounter cobblestone streets. You can expect to walk over rough terrain in dark conditions.
